How to Diversify your Nail Career

My name is Porsha G. I am the owner of Her Nailz are Dope Incorporated. It's an exclusive nail community that’s centered around education, acrylic techniques, nail art and empowerment.

Though I am legally a nail technician, most refer to me as a personal nail stylist. I’ve been interested in beauty for as long as I can remember. Initially taking an interest in hair care, I transitioned to nail care down the line. 

Nails started as an outlet, a way for me to encourage myself and express my art. Not necessarily to start a business. Eventually I grew out of being self taught and grew into education. I enrolled and graduated from Dudley Beauty College in Chicago, Illinois in 2014. I returned to Dudley in 2020 & obtained my nail instructors license. I’ve worked from home, in the classroom, in fast paced salon environments and in the hair salon environment. I’ve placed at the competition level and I am currently building my nail academy. 

My mission is to enlighten, empower and inspire. To be deeply rooted in progression, sisterhood and community. It has been my pleasure to build something so unique and authentic. This work is purposeful and intentional. It’s Definitely On Purpose Everyday!
